Westcroft weekly activities
Due to Covid-19, many events need to be pre-booked - please contact us if you'd like to attend an event.
Computers for Beginners
Digital skills are essential in today's world, needed for everything from applying for Universal Credit and using a bank account, to keeping in touch with distant friends and relatives. We want to help you get, and stay, online!
Sessions are designed to help complete beginners gain useful computer skills and access low-cost equipment. You’ll start from the very beginning learning keyboard and mouse skills and as the weeks progress you will create an email address, learn how to fill in forms online, learn about online banking and shopping and how to save money on your household bills.
We can also show you how to keep in touch with loved ones, through platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp and Skype.
Tuesdays 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
We also run a drop in Internet Cafe on:
Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Quids In Food Club
The unique volunteer-run 'Quids In' food club is aimed at the many households in south Manchester struggling to feed their families each week. ‘Quids In’ offers up to £15 worth of food for just a £2 weekly membership fee, which helps pay Fareshare, the charity that supplies the food.
Unlike food banks, Quids In is an ongoing membership offering fresh and chilled items that can be difficult to find and expensive to buy locally.
Any household in the postcode area of the club claiming some Housing Benefit or Universal Credit is eligible.
To join, come along to the club and complete a membership form, bringing along some evidence of claiming Housing Benefit/Universal Credit with you. Or contact Tina Murphy or Maureen Ward via firstname.lastname@example.org or on 0161 448 4228 / 0161 448 4229 for further information. Please note there may be a waiting list.
